Maybe, but what received the most attention on social media was her orange tan.

"The starting point when I work with Selena is always Selena", Stuart Vevers told Vogue before the Gomez's Met Gala dress was revealed on the red carpet. That quip was paired with a video of Gomez running away from the camera, in search of her vehicle after the event ended Monday night.

At least the Oompa Loompas didn't sing her away.

The singer wore a custom Coach gown, just like she did a year ago when she made walked the carpet with then-boyfriend The Weeknd.

Selena Gomez's look at the 2018 Met Gala earlier this week was met with a lot of questions about her spray tan. Mysteriously, Gomez disabled comments on the post, which has since amassed over 3.6 million likes.

Let's get something out of the way: Selena Gomez is a goddess among us mere mortals and has cornered the market on turning looks time and time again.

In her latest soundtrack, the singer posted a very emotional caption: "I wanna hold you when I'm not supposed to..." Her stylist Kate Young shared a gorgeous photo that shows how ethereal Gomez's gown really was, up-close.

Gomez carried with her a Kisslock Frame bag which read "A woman who fears the lord is a woman who shall be praised".

The star looked stunning in her bespoke Coach gown at the prestigious event in NY, but something was a bit off about her look, namely the fact that she looked like Ross from friends when he couldn't contend with the tanning booth.
