"La La Land" made Chazelle the youngest best director victor in Academy Award history, which only sets the anticipation bar higher for the director's upcoming "First Man". For First Man, he's packing him into a rocket and sending him to the moon.

As the poster shows, Claire Foy is billed alongside Gosling, playing Neil's wife, Janet Armstrong. No, seriously, he's literally in an astronaut suit as Neil Armstrong for the upcoming biopic directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Damien Chazelle. It's Damien Chazelle's follow-up to "La La Land", which scored both him and Gosling Oscars. The one-sheet describes First Man, which chronicles the years leading up to NASA's 1969 Apollo 11 mission that put the first man on the moon, as an "experience" and an IMAX presentation.

Chazelle (Whiplash) and Gosling (Blade Runner 2049) are teaming up again following the smashing success of the 2016 musical La La Land for the film based on James Hansen's biography "First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong". Corey Stoll plays Buzz Aldrin, with Kyle Chandler as Deke Slayton, Jason Clarke as Ed White, and Pablo Schreiber as Jim Lovell. She imagines her husband travelling 240,000 miles to land on the moon, telling her husband that it wasn't just another trip, adding that he isn't just "going to work". Take a look at the first trailer for First Man, courtesy of Universal Pictures, as we get closer and closer to the October 12 release.
