Sergio Ramos Sends Message To Cristiano Ronaldo After Juventus Move

Former Juventus player Alessandro Del Piero has hailed the £100million arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

Ronaldo won four Champions League titles in five years, and was awarded the Ballon d'Or, or Player of the Year award, on four occasions.

"The time has come to open a new stage in my life, that's why I asked the club to accept transferring me", the 33-year old said in a statement.

Ronaldo, whose World Cup campaign with Portugal was ended in the last 16 by Uruguay just under two weeks ago, hinted after May's Champions League final victory over Liverpool that he was considering leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ronaldo heads to Italy as Madrid's all-time leading goalscorer with an astonishing 450 goals from 438 games, including 44 hat-tricks. "For Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of its great symbols and a unique reference for future generations".

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously had reported that Ronaldo has agreed to join Juventus in a staggering £88m deal after club's President Andrea Agnelli traveled to Greece to convince him to join the Turin side.

"These nine years have been absolutely marvellous".

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has admitted that it is still his "dream" to play for Real Madrid, despite the departure of manager Zinedine Zidane.

The deal also fits in with the Italian club's efforts to re-establish its reputation in an era of Premier League and La Liga dominance. They may not be Real or Man United, but they are not far behind, and Juve can offer Ronaldo another lorry-load of trophies over the course of his contract. But he still has it in him to take another league by storm, and that is why Juventus have made such a bold move by signing him. During these nine exciting years I have faced great players.

"They look like they are looking at other positions".
