Trump says attorney-general should stop Mueller probe ‘right now’

Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani recently argued that "collusion is not a crime".

"Is it just me or does Rudy Giuliani always seem to call into cable news shows to clear things up he said on other cable news shows?" But so far, there haven't been any known formal complaints raised by Trump's legal team as they insist they are still cooperating with Mueller's investigation.

According to CNN, the investigation was started in July 2016 when Australian officials had tipped the FBI that George Papadopoulos, a former member of the foreign policy advisory panel to Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, told them about alleged Russian involvement with Hillary Clinton.

However, the CNN notes that legal experts have repeatedly said that anyone found collaborating with Russian Federation during the 2016 election could be charged with other crimes, such as conspiring with a foreign power.

THE FACTS: It is correct to say that election collusion isn't a precise legal term. "Then when you get to the point of making a decision, they go off and do something", Giuliani continued.

The Trump legal team suggested several weeks ago limiting some topics to written questions and doing an interview more on collusion, as CNN has previously reported.

In January, The New York Times reported that Mr Trump had tried to fire Mr Mueller in June past year but backed down after White House counsel Don McGahn threatened to resign if the president made him follow through with the order.

"Enough is enough, ' Giuliani vented".

In the CNN interview, Giuliani referenced a conflict so severe that if it were him, 'it's one that would have kept me out of the investigation.' But he wouldn't divulge more. The president has also used his Twitter to allege partisan bias among Mueller's investigative team, which he has dubbed the "13 angry Democrats". 'I can't tell you, ' he siad.

"Maybe it explains why he hired 13 Democrats, ' Giuliani said, referencing Trump's repeated claim that Mueller stacked his team with 'angry" Democrats, although Federal Bureau of Investigation regulations would have precluded the Republican Mueller from using party affiliation to select his team.

It was not immediately clear what the President meant when he claimed there were conflicts of interests involving Mueller.

Trump, in his tweets on Sunday, re-aired his incorrect assertion that the dossier of anti-Trump research compiled by former MI6 official Christopher Steele sparked the Russian Federation investigation.

Asked whether the conflict was over the golf club dispute, Giuliani replied, "I'm not going to go any further". "Including the fact that we had a very nasty & contentious business relationship, I turned him down to head the Federal Bureau of Investigation (one day before appointment as S.C.) & Comey is his close friend". 'Sounds suspicious, doesn't it?' he added.
