The remaining roster additions will be revealed here, as well as other game mode details.

During its Nintendo Direct for Super Smash Bros. He is the last new challenger and uses pro-wrestling moves.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches for the Nintendo Switch on December 7th, 2018. People were anxious that Ultimate was "just a port" but this is looking like the biggest Smash game yet by a huge margin: and I'm not even factoring the roster in at this point.

We'd heard rumors of the so-far unannounced fighters after a convincing Smash Bros leak, which seemed to show a full roster also including Shadow the Hedgehog and a host of other lesser-known Nintendo characters - but they were nowhere to be seen.

Ken of the Street Fighter games and Icineroar of Pokémon will "fight fire with fire" in the new release. An example of fighting against these is Fire Emblem's Owain being shown as a Spirit, which gives increased power to melee weapons, but also makes the enemy taunt a lot, like the character's personality. But it does contain a Mii Fighter outfit, and Xenoblade Spirits and music from the Xenoblade Chronicles. Each piece of DLC will come with a song, character, and stage for $5.99. Set to run approximately 40 minutes, today's Smash-centric Nintendo Direct will begin at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET. The company claims it's "a way for players to enjoy a massive amount of additional video game characters outside of selecting them as playable fighters".
