Alec Baldwin arrested in NY after dispute over parking spot

Alec Baldwin has been arrested for allegedly punching someone during a dispute over a parking spot in New York City. According to the authorities, the alleged altercation happened at 1:30 p.m. EST at W 10th Street between University and Broadway.

Baldwin was in police custody Friday afternoon after the incident. The department said that Baldwin would "likely" be charged with misdemeanor assault.

Back in 2012, cameras caught Baldwin allegedly attacking New York Daily News photographer Marcus Santos after he attempted to snap a photo of the actor.

Police took Baldwin in for questioning.

That means Baldwin was the one throwing the punch, and he has been arrested and taken to the 6th Precinct Station.

A representative for Baldwin has not yet responded to CNN's request for comment.

Baldwin was previously arrested in Manhattan for allegedly riding his bicycle on the wrong side of the street and acting belligerently toward officers.

This isn't Baldwin's first brush with the law.

Bladwin, who often plays Trump on the show Saturday Night Live, has long earned the fury of the president.

But when reporters told the president that his sometime-impersonator had been arrested, Trump simply said, "I wish him luck". MSNBC, where he hosted a talk show at the time, subsequently chose to cancel the show.
