Netflix Reveals ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Release Date in Cryptic Trailer

It's clear that the kids will be living life in 1985 once Season Three drops, but what kind of world will they be living in?

Fans have been waiting for the Stranger Things 3 release date for what seems like forever.

The tagline reads, "One summer can change everything", which sounds like a totally cliche '80s movie line-something that is very appropriate for the series.

The announcement was delivered via a trailer cut to look like an old episode of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

The teaser showed a clip of a New Year's Eve celebration hosted by Dick Clark, which seemed innocuous enough, though various parts of the transmission were interrupted by freaky screens of information. But since Hawkins is no normal town, the clip was occasionally interrupted with weird computer code glitches, and started at one point to turn upside down, as in THE Upside Down.

Netflix posted a new Stranger Things Season 3 trailer on YouTube and it's a blast from the past. For most of us, the most pertinent information comes at the end: the third season of Stranger Things will premiere on Netflix on July 4, 2019. I can't wait until we finally see some real footage from the season.

We'll be sure to let you know when we find out more information about the new season.
