Emery: Arsenal can not make January deals

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed that the club are looking to sign players in the January transfer window, but only on loan. "We can only loan players".

The reports states that former Barcelona executive Raul Sanllehi had been leading the negotiations with his old club and that the Suarez deal is likely to have some form of obligation to buy inserted into the agreement.

"We can not sign (players) permanently", he said. "Only loan players this January", he said.

" I don't know his situation now".

"I don't know now his [Suarez's] situation but we can only sign on a loan", Emery said. "I can not tell you more".

The Arsenal boss was also quizzed about Ozil as part of his team news update and he said, "Mesut Ozil is also training with us".

However, with Aaron Ramsey now all set for a move to Juventus when his contract expires at the end of the season, Emery needs to plan for the future so Ozil should get the nod over the Welshman.

The Welshman played in Arsenal's 3-0 FA Cup win at League One side Blackpool and had his name sung by the away fans.

Arsenal will move level with four-placed Chelsea with a victory over West Ham United in Saturday's early kick-off. "My last conversation with him is very important", Emery said.

'We are working, and also thinking and speaking with our performance [analyst] Darren [Burgess] and Julen Masach [strength and conditioning coach], for this week and this month.

"I respect his decision a lot". We have taken more care in our training and pre-match planning.

Paul Merson is tipping Arsenal to drop points at West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

Together, the pair won the Europa League.

Arsenal confirmed that Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Mesut Ozil were all back in full training ahead of facing West Ham. "Mkhitaryan has been training with us At the moment we are better than we were a week ago".
