Ronda Rousey Not Leaving WWE

Earlier this week, reports suggested former UCF star Ronda Rousey was considering leaving the WWE in 2019 to start a family. Those rumblings are apparently premature, however.

Rousey's last match could come at Wrestlemania 35, which is set to take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on April 7, Wrestling News reported, citing the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. According to Daniel Yanofsky of WrestlingInc.com, Meltzer also said on his radio show this week that people within the WWE are operating as if Rousey will not be with the organization much longer.

Rousey hasn't been shy about feeling torn between her young WWE career and the window of time when it's considered ideal for a woman to try to get pregnant and have a healthy baby. Her popularity as a WWE wrestler grew quickly and Rousey went on to become the reigning Raw women's champion at SummerSlam in August. "Whether she wants to start a family is a private matter".

"I really don't feel like I should have to respond to that kind of thing", she added. Interference by either superstar could cost Rousey her title, and future set up a very personal matchup at WrestleMania.

"We're ready to start having kids soon and I was thinking about what I've left unfinished in my life because I want to entirely focus on having kids when that time comes", Rousey told Yahoo! "But how do you go about doing that?" So do you just keep going until you just happen to get pregnant? And I think it's time for WWE to account on some mistakes that they have made in the several past Mania's and correct them, more importantly, stop doing them.

However, with these rumours now going around, it looks unlikely that WWE is going to put more importance on somebody they would rather have in a backstage role. I know he's had offers from AEW. A lot of decisions that we've gotta make as a family.
