"The city deserves better than that". But it does seem odd that the team didn't wait to evaluate all potential offers before making the move.

Amidst the Knicks disappointing season, fans still flock to MSG and watch their games, but recently, chants of "We want Kanter" have often been heard in the arena, indicating that no matter how bad this year has been for the team, Enes is still a fan favorite. "Peace", Porzingis wrote in his Instagram story.

It doesn't seem like the New York Knicks did their full due diligence when it came to trading away franchise forward Kristaps Porzingis. Dallas also got Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr and Trey Burke in the deal.

The Knicks with their $73 million in cap space, are betting on landing a top free agent or two like the Kyrie Irving or the Kevin Durant who will be available, among other big names, this summer.

Some close to Durant see NY as a possible landing spot for the back-to-back NBA Finals MVP if he chooses to leave the Golden State Warriors, according to league sources.

Porzingis will be a restricted free agent this summer, after the Knicks declined to offer him a rookie extension last offseason. With Doncic watching from the back of the room, Porzingis expressed excitement about forming a long-term partnership with a playmaker he has been friends with since they were both playing professionally in Spain.

Porzingis was traded to the Mavs on Thursday, but per reports is not expected to suit up as he recovers from the ACL injury he suffered more than a year ago.

"Our goal is to keep them together for the next 20 years", Cuban said Monday at an introductory press conference in Dallas.
