Fluffy The Cat Redeems Another Life After Being Frozen Solid In Snow

Miracle in Montana? An "essentially frozen and unresponsive" cat found completely buried under a mountain of snow has been saved.

On Tuesday, the Animal Clinic of Kalispell in Kalispell, Montana, introduced the world to Fluffy, a longhaired domestic cat, and shared her miraculous story on Facebook.

The temperature was just 10 degrees when the cat named Fluffy was brought to the veterinarian's office.

Doctors don't know how long Fluffy was outside, but her temperature was so low that a thermometer couldn't read it, Dutter told INSIDER.

Fluffy's owners, who wish not to be identified, found her outside on their property last Thursday when temperatures had dipped below freezing. A normal temperature for a cat is around 100°-102°F.

The clinic posted pictures of the recovery on its Facebook page.

They say cats have nine lives, this one is definitely one down.

Fluffy was immediately rushed to the Animal Clinic of Kalispell, where staff sprung into action.

"She wasn't really responding for about the first half-hour, but then she started at least, acting like she was going to be alive", Dr Clark said. But even with her eight remaining lives, we hope she avoids the outdoors for a while.

Because the owners weren't home at the time, they aren't positive how Fluffy got stuck in the snow. "We'll see if Fluffy likes that or Fluffy doesn't like that", he said.

Fluffy's owners will keep her inside after her wild adventure.

When she got to the clinic, her temperature was below 90°F, said Dr. Jevon Clark.
