One of those women, Azriel Clary, says Kelly did not know she was underage when they met.

Two of the women mentioned in the documentary are Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary.

Kelly has denied the charges, and his attorney, Steve Greenberg, has said his client is innocent. "Both our parents are out here trying to get money and scam because they didn't agree on what happened with music or whatever it may be and they're just very upset", Savage said.

The women also echoed claims made by Kelly that the alleged victims parents were the ones who "sold" them to the singer.

Savages' family also reportedly accused the singer earlier Wednesday of shielding their daughter from them. "After speaking with her little sister, Joycelyn paused from the seemingly prepared script and was able to share her love for her family. And as a woman, I'm sure you would not either", said Clary.

R. Kelly has broken his silence on the sexual and physical abuse allegations brought forward in Lifetime's docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly.

It was first teased Tuesday night and aired in part Wednesday morning.

A spokeswoman for the Cook County Sheriff's Office said Kelly would not be released from jail until he pays the full child support debt. Johnson said Kelly was prepared to pay as much as $60,000.

In 2017 BuzzFeed article by journalist Jim DeRogatis - who has chronicled Kelly's alleged behavior for years -former girlfriends and other associates described Kelly as controlling the movements and lives of a group of live-in sexual partners, including when they could eat and use the bathroom. "I'm not, I'm your child", she said through tears.

Kelly went on to tell King to "use your common sense", adding, "How stupid would it be for me, with my insane past and what I've been through - oh right, now I just think I have to be monster, and hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don't let them eat, don't let them out, unless they need some shoes down the street from their uncle!"

Kelly said those lies include that he's holding women against their will and that he has a "cult".

He has pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

He has denied similar abuse allegations for decades. Surprisingly, TMZ is reporting that despite the turmoil, the door is still open for reconciliation, although I gather, the conversation only starts once R Kelly meets those child support requirements. The Cook County, Ill., state's attorney publicly asked for any potential witnesses or victims to come forward. "He said he was here two days ago, and you wouldn't even look him in the eye", said King.
