But club boss Zidane has dismissed claims that his compatriot Varane is unhappy at Real Madrid.

Luca Zidane is the No. 1 goalkeeper for Real's reserve and he had not featured for the first team since making his debut in a 2-2 draw against Villarreal on the final day of last season.

"Luca is here on his own merit", Zidane said.

The former Spain global is well placed to compare the two, having played under both during his distinguished 16-year spell at Madrid.

"There are many things that we are talking about changing next year, but you have to respect all of the players who are here", he continued. "If people who want to go on about the personal thing, I don't care". Juventus are the latest club to be linked with him.

Casilla also added that Zidane's immediate future lies with Real Madrid and reiterated that he will become a top goalkeeper for many years to come.

Interestingly, Varane, who has spent eight years at the Spanish capital disclosed recently ithe 2018-19 season was very hard.

"If he can't play a full season, which he hasn't done at Real Madrid since he's been there, you're not doing that in the Premier League".

Zidane admitted that there will be changes to the squad in the summer, although he didn't want to talk about individuals at this point.

"He found a way to transfer the talent he had as a player to his role as coach and manage a dressing room. There will be time later".

Real Madrid may sell Keylor Navas (L) or Thibaut Courtois next season.

"At the moment there are three good keepers and we are going to finish the season with them", Zidane said at a press conference on Tuesday.

"I'll be the first to be happy for him because he's a great person and a great goalkeeper. That much is clear".
